Department of PharmaceuticalAnalysis was established in the year 2012 is responsible to develop knowledgein the field of modern instrumental techniques for both B.Pharmacy and other brnchesof M.Pharmacy. It involves basic research in identity, purity, content andstability of starting materials, excipients, active pharmaceutical ingredientsand finished dosage forms

The Department offersexcellent infrastructure facilities with conventional instruments like DigitalBalances, Spectrophotometer, Flame Photometer, Nephelo Turbidimeter,Conductivity meter, KF tirator and pH meter  & sophisticated equipments like UV visiblespectrophotometer, IR, HPLC and HPTLC and other facilities for estimation ofactive ingredients, finished formulations and estimation of herbalconstituents.

The Following are the mainresearch areas being actively involved in the department:

v  Developmentand validation of analytical methods for single multi component drugs in theirformulationsby using RP-HPLC, Spectrophotometric and various titrimetric methods.

v   Development and validation of analyticalmethods for detection and quantification of
    impurities in pharmaceutical dosage forms.

v  Developmentand validation of chiral separation of some enantiomeric drugs by HPLC.

v   Development and validation of newer analyticalmethod for drugs in formulations and
    Biologicalfluids.

v   Quality control testing of various drugs informulations.
